The Siglent USB‑GPIB Adapter enables instruments that feature a USB Host port—but lack native GPIB support—to connect seamlessly to a standard GPIB controller. It implements USB 2.0 on one end and IEEE 488.2-compliant GPIB on the other. This adapter requires no external power; it is powered entirely via the USB Host interface of the instrument. The GPIB port operates in Device mode only—Controller mode is not supported. Compatibility includes a wide range of Siglent equipment such as certain SDS oscilloscopes, SDG waveform generators, SSA spectrum analyzers, SVA series, SDM multimeters, and SSG RF generators. It integrates communication LEDs for status indication and allows the instrument's GPIB address to be set via the instrument interface (default typically 13). This accessory simplifies external automation and data acquisition workflows using GPIB with devices that otherwise lack the interface.
